Putting Our Data Knowledge Into Practice
This is the end of the Data Journey—but also the beginning.
“Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend,” Marilyn Monroe sang in 1953. In our modern world, this statement is less powerful than it was then.
Not only because diamonds are less important and gender stereotypes far more outdated, but also because data has infinitely greater value than diamonds ever will. And unlike diamonds, data is ubiquitous, relevant to literally all people all the time, and used by you, me, the mother-in-law, the neighbour, and the neighbour’s cat who recently got a new, smart GPS tracker and even a smart litter box.
Yes, even for Garfield, data today has value. And if data has value for our four-legged friends, one can hardly imagine the value they have for us bipedal primates.
Thus, our modern world is driven around by data; this is what the data journey is all about.
Where the journey goes next, you will now be better able to influence.
