What Do We Do With the Analysis?
Welcome to chapter 5, part 2!
Part 2
What you will learn
We’ve learned what data analysis is about. We have looked at how statistical methods, machine learning and data mining help us find patterns and meaning, tendencies and trends in data sets.
In the vast majority of cases, we also need to translate data-driven insights into comprehensible results, reports or some form of visual representation. We’ve looked at how statistics often are presented in graphs, tables or diagrams. However, the more complex the data becomes, the greater the need to report and visualise results and insights in an understandable way.
In this section, we will take a closer look at exactly what you may do with your analysed data, whether you want to present it in a meeting, or simply for it to be understandable by humans at all.
This is about reports and graphs but also storytelling and other creative measures to better understand the data. In the end, we can see how you can use both simple tools and programming to make your data shine.
